Faux watercoloring these trees makes them a beautiful focal point of the card!

The Paper:

Base:         Night of Navy cut to 8.25” x 5.5”, scored at 4.25”

1^st Layer:  Soft Sea Foam 5.25” x 4” embossed with Woodland Embossing Folder (cut a second piece for card inside)

           

Top:           Wrapped in Plaid DSP banner cut to .75” x 5”, use snips to notch a “v” on the left

                  Shimmery White banner cut to .75” x 3.5”, use snips to notch a “v” on the left

                  Shimmery White for Trees cut to 3.5” x 5.5” (fits 3 trees)

Technique:

Faux Watercoloring: spritz the Shimmery White Paper with water, making sure the paper is coated, but not pooling with water. If there is any pooling, wait for the water to soak in or blot with a paper towel. Stamp your image directly on the Shimmery White Paper, as the paper dries, the image will feather and look as if it is water-colored! Please note, the technique will not work with Whisper White or Very Vanilla paper as it does not absorb water well. Shimmery White or Watercolor paper are the best choices!

Use 2-step stamping to create this image, here I used 2nd generation stamping to get a lighter look for the leaves. Just stamp off the inked image once on scrap paper, then stamp on your tree base!
